About Hot Dog Planner

Hotdog Planner is built by me, a human who couldn't find the right size app for their DIY projects, so they turned it into a DIY project. It is inspired by a quote from Greg Universe from the TV Show Steven Universe, “If every porkchop were perfect, you wouldn't have hotdogs.” Anyone who has DIY'd understands that perfection is often the enemy of good (or, good enough).

How this was built

This site was built with the assistance of Claude Code. Only the functionality is built by AI, all themes and backgrounds were put together by human using free use items found on SVG Repo and put together using Patternico. For better or worse, I write all copy.

Your data

All data added lives in a database on my hosting service, Hostinger. You may export your data and images at any time. Deleting a project removes all information and images from my files. If you decide you'd like to come back, import the same file and most of your tasks, products, services, etc will be reinstated, but connections between them will be lost.
